Tourists Spent Nearly 33 Billion Rubles in St. Petersburg During the May Holidays

From April 27 to May 12, St. Petersburg was visited by 850 thousand tourists, bringing nearly 33 billion rubles to the city’s budget, according to the press service of the Tourism Development Committee.

The committee noted that the main events for tourists included the opening of the navigation season and the start of the summer tourist season.

"The full opening of the navigation season and our events traditionally mark the start of the summer tourist season. We always emphasize that the main attraction of St. Petersburg is its unique atmosphere. To truly experience it, you must see the Northern Capital from the water," commented Sergey Korneev, chairman of the Tourism Development Committee.
