"Cuba is once again present at the 'Intourmarket' exhibition. Why? Because we consider ourselves part of Russia. We have been participating in this event for several years now, and we are very grateful to the organizers for this opportunity. As you know, Russia has always had and continues to have a special significance for Cuba. Recently, it has also become the third-largest market for tourists visiting our country. The objectives set for you at this exhibition coincide with those pursued by the Cuban tourism industry," he said.
Garcia Granda noted that Cuba is working on developing various types of tourism, including family, beach, and medical tourism.
"We are ready to offer not only beautiful beaches and sun. Cuba is known for its cultural heritage, music, and dances. Russian tourists are increasingly discovering the island's stunning nature. We also have a strong presence in medical tourism. Additionally, in Russia, we are focusing on tourism related to various events and group travel," he explained.
"We want to become one of the tourist destinations for Russia and hope that tourists from all regions of the country will visit Cuba. We also want to meet new Russian tour operators, present our products, and talk about the benefits and privileges for those who bring new tourists to us," he concluded.
The International Tourism Exhibition "Intourmarket" opened on Saturday at the "Expocentre" in Moscow, with more than 700 companies from 68 regions of Russia and 13 countries participating. Among the exhibition participants are Cuba, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Iran, China, Indonesia, Vietnam, and others. The exhibition will run until March 18th.
